The story revolves
around Chatterjee Household. Anju and Sudha

jealous. Both lost their father on the same day they were born. Anju's father was the sole owner of the Chatterjee mansion and Sudha's father and
mother came to lived with them.
One day Sudha gets to know the secret of their father's death

Sudha's Father but couldn't tell anyone about it. In the mean time Sudha is burdened with the fact that they have lived on Anju's Father wealth through
out their life without even knowing. Sudha understood that Anju's father was
tricked somehow. This made their secure bond loosen up.
As they grow up, they
were forced to get married . Though Sudha was in love with a guy name Ashok , she
didnt have the guts to elope and defame the chaterjee household name. Anju fell in love with someone from
America who had a lust for Sudha. Sudha didn't like this at all. Sudha married a guy whom her mother thought suitable
for her. A marriage with no love. She makes a compromise just to save her
sister Anju's marriage.
With out of sight the two sister grew far apart from
each other until a blow of tragedy makes
them realise the value of each other.
With secrets unfolding, what will happen when Anju get's to know everything? Will the heart
still beat as one?
The book continue
with the story in the second book The Vine of Desire.
My views:
Cover of the book:Simple and that what makes it look rich.
Author Chitra
Banerjee have beautifully sculpted out
the old Bengal in her book. With bengali words scattered here and there, made
the book more classy to read. It unfolds secret every nook and corner which are
not even predictable. The story hooked me in every page. Though at time the
book will make you feel lonely but at an instant you will be swept away with secrets and sisterly love .Filled with emotions and an enchanting woven
tale of two sister will make you feel the character.
