Do you like to read while travelling? A short type or a long one?
The author in this book has written 3 short  stories , each of which contains simple messages which  people overlook most of the time.

The first story BOOKSTALL BY THE STATION is a story of a bookseller, whose business drastically failed , due to decreased demand of books and increased engagement in  various gadgets. Also people started buying books from eCommerce  platform more than from a real bookstore.
It is rightly said , and sad, that today's kids enjoy more playing video games rather than reading books. Even parents are least bothered about it.

The second story  A BUS RIDE:   The author talks about Being Modern vs Being Mature. A very modern individual might not be able to response to the environment  in an appropriate manner, while a mature person who might not be modern but can prove an excellent decision making  act.

The third Story ROMILA AND HER THREE SISTERS: Tactfully handle the importance of education  for every women.  Which is very much lacking  still now in India. It is  from them the country gets educated.

Easy to read, grab your tea and enjoy  your sunday afternoon with this quick read

Book Review |Lullaby- By Leila Slimani

Parents who think career and their personal life of enjoyment comes first please read this book.

How many of us actually think of joining back to work after having a  baby. Many of us do want to but at time "for many" children comes first than  career.
There are many parents  who get scared to entrust their children to others. I am very much one of those kind.  Like every other parents Myriam and Paul living in Paris didnt trust anyone to handle their fragile little baby Mila. Myriam took care of her solely and was absolutely against  babysitter, sacrificing her hard earned Law degree. She got pregnant again when Mila her  little girl was 18 months old. This time she was blessed  with a boy named Adam. But she was getting tired and frustrated with the daily  baby chores all alone and wanted her life back desperately.

The story begins with Myriam returns back from work  and sees the ghastly murder of  her 2 kids. The broken body of Adam was in a bag zipped surrounded with toys. The description of the murder will give you a chill and you may want to stop reading immediately. The little girl fought for her life in the ambulance, her lungs punctured and she was getting convulsion and head smashed with the furniture in the room. The children were murdered by their most trusted and beloved nanny.

It is not that their parent didnt look for the best nanny before joining back to work. They did. Actually they has series of interview from different nanny before hiring someone and Louise was one of those perfect nanny which every other house wants to have. Infact Myriams friends were jealous of her for getting such beyond perfection  nanny who "SEEMED" to  love the children and took care of every single thing in the house. Whether it is cleaning, cooking, taking the children out etc.

Myriam though felt guilty at times but  enjoyed office and party leaving more task to the grateful nanny. They claimed her to be part of the family.

Here are some bits and pieces of the horror:

The nanny makes the children eat chicken carcass which the parents didn't know. She tells creepy story to the children, watch crime channels and knocks the children down claiming it as an accident.
She has bite marks on her shoulder. But again busy with career parents didn't understand whats lurking in the upcoming days. There were times when Louissa got angry which clearly showed her mood unstability.

The book talks about Louisa past life and also about her daughter , her lonely suffered life, her friend the other nanny and hence forth.
Why did she kill the children when she actually loved them? Do we have the answer ?
I am really curious are we gonna read another part of this book? Because there are times where I had to skip pages to know  why it happened.

I think we should not take anyone for granted.

Life is what happens when you are making other plans.- John Lennon

I am reviewing the second book of the author. The first one was My mute girlfriend which was one of the best seller. You can check the review  here.

A book which will make your heart warm and eyes teary. I am always hear for you is a romantic novel . A story of a married couple Karthik and Ashima who is deeply in love with each other and expecting their first baby. Though Ashima had minor complications but under Karthik's supervision she was happy and excited for the upcoming big day. There moments were beautifully passing by when tragic strikes the couple and leaves Ashima devastated. Spending sleepless night and crying profusely, the story takes us to the part where she will cope up with life. How will Karthik make Ashima smile the way she use to?
My views : 🤰
Pregnancy moments beautifully written.❤️, But I wouldn't recommend expected mommy's to read this. ( U might get extremely emotional)

The father -son relationship was beautifully portrayed.

Language easy , and definitely recommended for beginners looking for romantic novels.

Review- My Affair With Radha By Kunal Desai

Author: Kunal Desai
No of Pages: 197
Amazon Link:My Affair With Radha
Publisher:  Notion Press.

Being  a crazy Indian mythology lover I was thrilled to receive this giveaway. But the first thing which came to my mind was  - How genuine are the information provided in the book?
Can I rely on them because I dont enjoy reading made up stories. Well  this book has won my heart. Truly  if you  leaf through sacred books like Mahabharata,  Bhagavat Gita  or even Harivansh , you will not find any information on Radha.  Definitely it is very surprising , as  we  worship Radha Krishna together, we don't have much information about her.  Well this book has simplified unknown facts about Radha from Brhamvaivrat Puran  Garg Samhita , Geet Govinda and henceforth. So if you have prior knowlege about our mythology this book will be easy to understand as you can fill in the missing link.
The book talks about time, when the supreme power created the universe. How Radha was born ,also the other god and goddess. Their incarnation on earth,  Radha's dominating behavior on Krishna, Krishna's departure from Vrindavan toward Mathura, the hundred years of separation and many more finely tuned details.

The book has beautifully put up the separation of Radha Krishna. The pain of  realising that you have lost the one you love forever.

  • Some words were difficult to understand
  • If you have some prior knowledge on Krishna's life story , then this will be an easy read
  • There were few places which I didn't understand.
  • The book is in form of a conversation with Krishna.
  • Overall this book is a definite re-read for me.

A cage of Desire- Shuchi Singh Kalra

A Cage of Desire:

Kindle Price: Rs 135.09

Let me tell you this novel is for people who should be at least 21 years of age or may be 25 to understand the  protagonist Renu.

At one point of time or age women goes through a turbulent waves of feelings. Feelings which the so called culture tag it as Midlife crisis.
The ill fit  for life , the question on mind - why am I doing all this, why have I sacrificed so much, the never ending question of what you desire to be in life versus the actual you ,welcomes lower self love
At this point of time one takes rash decision  like divorcing, leaving job or having an extra marital affair  which can lead to a lifelong regret.
Though this story is not about regretting. But about a character who is relatable to many women who goes  through such time period once in their life.
This erotic fiction written by @ shuchi Singh Kalra is about Renu. A middle class homemaker who devoted her  life doing her  responsibility,by taking care of  her father in law and  her two children . She lives in Lucknow while her husband  works at Sitapur.
Renu has a hidden secret. She, under  pen name writes erotic novel Maya  revealing her inner desire. Her books have been the  best selling erotic novel and the readers crave to know about  the secret of Maya.
Renu mets Arjun who comes as a tenant. As Renu's husband rarely gets time to visit the family, and therefore her loneliness, boring life takes a toll, her desire to be loved, makes her do things which went out of control.
Renu falls for Arjun, but destiny has something  else for her. She gets to know a hurtful truth about her husband's affair , and a second  betrayal from Arjun. How will she come out from her pain with her two children is what this story is about.

The book shows the double faced culture :At one point readers  enjoy reading erotic novels  in their own desired time and on the other hand  tag it as "Porn" which a women from a good family shouldn't write.
It's a voice for women to rise up for themselves and not get drowned in the sea of pain, betrayal, lust , greed and henceforth.
Its important that we redefine our life and not get burdened with our emotions.
